about

After a brief hiatus pursuing archaeological degrees and touring the asteroid belt, The Good Times Family Band have returned from the threshold of cosmic unity with sounds from beyond the aether. On this, their first stereophonic recording, the boys dust off their maps of uncharted territory and venture forth into both country and western music; shunning the tenants of history into timeless salads, gathering existential woes by the railcar and learning first hand the plight of the avant-garde house cat. These recordings, intended to sonically satiate the refined palate, double as a self-contained above water breathing apparatus for those drowning in oxygen. High stakes in a Low Country is a quintessential platter for the modern space cowboy or cowgirl with a discerning interest in the frontiers of the self.
